But we're not just here to see Karl, we're here to see the models, the hair and makeup, and the exquisite Fendi looks from the Spring/Summer 2012 season. "We'll see a very strong woman as usual, at Fendi," says Silvia Venturini Fendi, Karl's partner for the label. "Maybe she's a scientist, maybe she's a mathematician. She plays with geometry. She plays with stripes and dots and tiny flowers sometimes, but in a very mathematical way." Models getting ready, like Magdalena Frackowiak and Candice Swanepoel, have a gold or silver leaf coating on their eyebrows and a poofy hairdo. Candice loves her hair and makeup. "It's very lady, but the eyes—it's something new and different," she says.
