"It's all based on metal," makeup artist Lloyd Simmonds says of the look for Ferre's Spring/Summer 2012 runway show. The colors are not traditional--more like a violet, bronze, and puter, icy eyes, Simmonds calls them, with big lashes. The rest of the makeup is neutral. Watch Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss get their makeup on and model Martha Streck says hello before rushing off to first looks. Designers Stefano Citron and Federico Piaggi talk about their inspiration. "We started off with an aesthetic concept of clean, linear, geometric lines, creating a very sensual, assertive, and resolute femininity," says Citron.
